Bar Specifications

One of the most common questions from parents and young riders is, "What height and width should scooter bars be for my child?" Unfortunately, there's no straightforward answer, which isn't what most parents want to hear. Different pro scooter models have their own bar sizes. For example, HogPro offers a variety of sizes across their scooters, and you can even order custom height and width scooter bars if the standard options don't work for you. That said, many people are looking for a general guide to help them choose a starting bar size. Check out the suggestions below. The size of the bars is entirely a matter of personal preference. The following are just our recommendations. For a quick reference, see our scooter sizing chart below!

Q: What are the advantages of smaller bars?

A: Smaller bars make it easier to perform overhead scooter tricks, like a bri-flip or scooter flip, reduce the total weight of the scooter, and make it easier to fit in a car.

Q: What are the advantages of taller/wider bars?

A: Taller bars provide more stability and comfort. They also make grinds and manuals easier tocontrol due to the increased leverage from the added height.
